The arm 4 is rotatably mounted in a bearing 12 on the bracket 10 and has a recess 3 which slidably receives a member 13 carried by a journal pin 6 mounted in a casing 19 formed at the inner end of the arm 1. Seating surfaces 2, 22 in the casing 19 transmit shocks directly from the arm 1 to the arm 4 when the suspension is lightly loaded. A link 15 connects the outer end of the arm 1 to the half-axle.

(54) TORSIONED SUSPENSION OF VEHICLE
I
The invention relates to vehicle suspensions and mainly to torsion vehicle suspensions.
A known torsional suspension of a vehicle, preferably for a car, comprises a lever bearing a wheel and a torsion bar mounted at one end on the frame of the car and connected at the other end to an additional lever mounted on frame 1.
The disadvantage of this suspension is the low quality of the suspension.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of the cushioning.
To achieve this goal, the suspension is equipped with a cam linking said lever with an additional lever and installed in the latter with an axle, a. on the frame of the car there is a support platform for interfacing with the wheel lever.
At the same time, at the end of the additional lever, there is a figured surface for interacting with the cam, and the end of the lever carrying the wheel is box-shaped for interacting with its internal surface with said additional lever.
FIG. I depicts a torsion vehicle suspension; in fig. 2 is a section A-A of FIG. one; in fig. 3 is a section BB of FIG. one; in fig. 4 - torsion suspension on the course of compression; in fig. 5 - the same, on the course of otbo.
Torsion bar contains a lever 1, carrying the wheel, and torsion bar 2, fixed at one end on the frame 3 of the car, and
to the other end associated with an additional lever 4 mounted on the frame.
The suspension is provided with a cam 5 linking the wheel lever to the additional lever 4, and a supporting platform 6 is made on the frame of the car to interact with
5 wheel lever. At the end of the additional lever 4, a figurine surface 7 is made to interact with the cam 5. The end of the lever 1 carrying the wheel is box-shaped and interacts with its innermost
20 by a surface 8 with an additional lever 4, in which a cam 5 is mounted by means of an axis 9.

When driving on a flat road, lever 1 is in position I (Fig. 2). When a wheel hits a hollow, the lever 1 moves from position I to position I, and torsion bar 2 twists relative to its longitudinal axis. As a result, the lever I interacts with its surface 8 with the lever 4, due to which all wheel oscillations are extinguished, and the axis 9 with the cam 5 is unloaded from their action. In this case, the temporary center of rotation of the lever 1 is located on the longitudinal axis of the torsion. When the wheel hits the protrusion of the road, lever 1 turns from position I to position III, and surface II abuts against platform 6. As a result, lever 1 begins to turn relative to its temporary center of rotation, which is formed by the contact line of surface 11 with area 6. When moving lever 1 reversible from position III to position its surface 1.1 smoothly moves around platform 6, and axis 9 with cam 5 moves along figured surface 7 to reach the lever 4. As a result, the ratio of the arm sizes of the levers ski and improves smoothness of movement of lever 1 over the entire range of its stroke. The angle of the figured surface 7 of the additional lever 4 depends on the magnitude of the torsion tension.

1. The torsion suspension of a vehicle, mainly a car, contains a lever carrying the wheel and a torsion bar mounted at one end on the frame of the car} and the other end connected with an additional lever mounted on the frame, characterized in that The goal is to improve the quality of the cushioning, it is equipped with a cam linking the specified lever with an additional lever and installed in the latter with an axle, and on the frame of the car there is a support platform for interacting with the lever of the wheel.
